The multi agency training sub-committee is responsible for identifying training needs, commissioning, delivering and evaluating training of all agencies providing services to children and young people within Wolverhampton. This includes staff from the statutory and voluntary sector.

In order to ensure that there is clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of WSCB and that of each agency in regards to the training and development needs of their staff, there is a training strategy in place which set out the explicit duties and the differing levels of training needs across the range of professional roles. All courses are targeted according to the level of contact with children and families and the level of responsibility for safeguarding children.
